The Speaker of the Free State Legislature joined key provincial leaders at an SABC stakeholder engagement aimed at strengthening institutional partnerships and public communication.
The Speaker of the Free State Legislature, Hon. Mxolisi Dukwana, attended a stakeholder engagement and networking event hosted by the South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) this evening.
The Speaker was joined by the Member of the Executive Council for Finance in the Free State, Hon. Ketso Makume, and the Executive Mayor of Mangaung Metropolitan Municipality, Cllr Gregory Nthatisi.
The engagement was aimed at fostering collaborative relationships and strengthening institutional partnerships. It also aligned with the strategic objectives of the Free State Legislature to promote participatory democracy, particularly within the context of commemorating 30 years of the Constitution of the Republic of South Africa, 1996.
The SABC was represented by members of its Board, led by the Deputy Chairperson, together with the Group Chief Executive Officer.
The Deputy Chairperson expressed appreciation for the longstanding cooperation between the Free State Legislature and the SABC, emphasising the importance of strengthening existing partnerships while cultivating new ones.
She further noted that the Free State has embraced the innovative ideas advanced by the SABC in its ongoing efforts to expand access to educational, informative, and inclusive content for all citizens.
