Induction of Hon. Members of the Free State Legislature
The induction program for members of the 7th Legislature is currently underway at Kopano Nokeng, Country Lodge & Conference Centre in Bloemfontein. This 2-day program will cover various topics, including:
– Code of Ethics for members
– Political Office Bearers Pension Fund and Members Gratuities
– Financial and tax implications of being a member (SARS)
– Financial support to political parties
– Other related matters
The program aims to provide valuable information and guidance to the newly elected members as they begin their legislative term.

In terms of political representation the Free State Legislature comprises of thirty members elected in terms of the tenets of national legislation – meaning, there are thirty seats in the Free State Legislature to be proportionally occupied by thirty elected political party representatives.
