Adjustment Appropriation Bill

The Speaker of the Free State Legislature, Hon. Mxolisi Dukwana, presided over critical legislative proceedings related to the 2025/26 financial year at the Interim Chamber on the 6th Floor of the Southern Life Plaza Building in Bloemfontein.

The sitting included the tabling of the 2025–26 Second Adjustment Appropriation Bill [B1–2026] by the MEC for Finance, Economic Development and Tourism Affairs, Ketso Makume, providing adjustments to the provincial budget in response to evolving priorities and fiscal requirements.

Members of the Legislature also engaged in the debate on the Premier’s State of the Province Address (SOPA), delivered by the Premier of the Free State, MaQueen Letsoha-Mathae. The debate offered an opportunity for robust discussion on the provincial government’s policy direction, development agenda, and commitments outlined in the address.

These proceedings form part of the ongoing #FSSOPA26 programme, reinforcing the Legislature’s oversight role and its commitment to transparent, accountable governance in the Free State.
