Today, the Speaker of the Free State Legislature, Hon. Mxolisi Dukwana, led the Appropriation Bill [B3-2026] debate at the Interim Chamber, Southern Life Building, in Bloemfontein.
The budget, tabled by the MEC for Finance, Hon. Toto Makume, on 17 March 2026, has received praise from various members of the House.
Members commended the budget for its focus on waging a war against poverty, creating jobs, and supporting livelihoods in the Free State province.
They further highlighted allocations to key sectors, including the Department of Health, Department of Education, and Department of Public Works & Infrastructure, as critical steps towards advancing the province’s development goals.
